Busy weeks of MMA

Busy weeks of MMA for Systems Training Center fighters!

Encino, The Valley

It's been a busy couple of weeks with a lot of our fighters, fighting all over the place! Last week, Emil Hartnser did a great job, fighting for Trophy MMA in Sweden. Emil showed his superb wrestling and BJJ skills, submitting his opponent via rear naked choke in the first round.

The same day, UFC star Clay "The Carpenter" Guida, who has been training at Systems Training Center for his fight against Robbie Peralta, won via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night.

This passed weekend, Eric Rios stepped back into the cage for BAMMA USA at the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles. It was a great back and forth battle when Eric unfortunately broke his patella. Eric still showed a lot of heart, fighting until the 3rd round, after having dislocated his knee in the first round.

The fight of the night definitely went to Systems Training Center's John Robles and Robert Gooch of Gooch Training Academy in Thousand Oaks. John lost a split decision but there were no losers in that fight - a battle that looked like something out of a "Rocky" movie!

The video below shows the 2nd round

As if that wasn't enough, several of our fighters are fighting this Friday at the Sportsmen's Lodge in Studio City. Kids BJJ and MMA instructor Maria Rios, Ruben Warr, Jason Acosta and Erick Gonzalez. Make sure you come out and support your team! For more information on this event, please click here.
